A safari in South Africa is a wonderful way to spend a holiday, at Ulusaba we offer game drives in open 4x4 game viewing safari vehicles twice a day as well as nature walks. These activities are included in your luxury safari accommodation rates.

There are very few things as soul affecting than seeing the magnificent creatures of Africa in their natural habitats. A safari in South Africa is a once in a lifetime experience; at Ulusaba we understand this and aim to make your African adventure as special, fulfilling and memorable as possible. The excellent game viewing experience is complimented by other activities such as stargazing, bird watching and moonlit bush dinners or sundowners (weather permitting).

Walking in the Bush

The daily walk usually commences after breakfast. This is a fascinating activity as it allows you to observe the smaller animals that you would usually not see while out on drive. Our knowledgeable ranger and tracker will enthrall you with stories about the medicinal properties of plants, local beliefs regarding the wildlife and fascinating facts regarding the animals. No additional charge

All about relaxation

As if some of the finest game viewing, cuisine and views in Africa weren't already enough, not to mention luxurious rooms and staff that make you feel so at home, Ulusaba also has a boutique spa at both Rock Lodge and Safari Lodge. The Aroma Boma Virgin Touch Salon offers a fabulous range of treatments to help you relax and unwind after the excitement of game drive.

Guinot Treatments offered include a liftosome facial uses a high concentration of vitamin C and proteins to strengthen elasticity and firmness whilst stimulating cellular regeneration. Our resident beauticians also offer aromatherapy massages, manicures, pedicures and waxing. Price list available on request

Tennis in the bush?

We have 2 floodlit tennis courts which have tennis rackets, tennis balls and a fully stocked bar! No additional charge

The Arts and Craft shop is located at Safari Lodge. A selection of arts crafts and small gifts are available for yourself or friends and family back home. We also have clothing ranging from caps, shirts, beanies and gloves... anything you might need. Prices available in store

There is a gymnasium situated at both Rock Lodge and Safari Lodge, which is available for guests to use 24 hours a day. No additional charge

There is a Wine Cellar at Safari Lodge with an outdoor dining area for up to six guests, great for private dining. The wine cellar overlooks the waterhole with views on the dry riverbed and surrounding bush. Guests from Rock Lodge are welcome to use the Wine Cellar at Safari Lodge. No additional charge
